Wayne A. Klein, 61, of Pekin ,formerly of Washington passed away at 5:07 AM, Friday, February 21, 2020, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, with his family by his side. Wayne was born March 14, 1958, in Peoria, the son of Willard and Genavie Honegger Klein. He married Victoria J. Clark on February 14, 1998.

Surviving are his wife of Pekin, three children, Kelli (Chris Long) Klein of East Peoria, Wayne (Courtney) Klein of Washington and Jessica (Cameron) Klein of Pekin. Also, surviving are his step children, Billy Reed of Pittsburgh, PA, James Reed of Peoria and Laura Reed of East Peoria, 3 grandchildren, Jaicee, Ella, Kynlee and 1 granddaughter on the way; 10, step grandchildren; one sister, Marilyn Antrim of Washington, and several nieces and nephews, also survive. His parents, three brothers -Dennis, Randy and Tom, and one brother-in-law, Denny Antrim, all preceded him in death.

Wayne was a member of the Laborers Local 165 for many years, working for multiple companies. He helped out his son with his restaurant/bar, Crusens in Elmwood, by cleaning and any other odd jobs. He worked for Bradley Blinds, where he was a huge help with maintenance, among other things and kept the business up and going. Wayne was basically a jack of all trades and always lending a helping hand to anyone and everyone who needed it.

Wayne was a brilliant musician, especially talented at playing the guitar. He loved the blues, classic rock, and Christian music. He enjoyed working on cars and was great at what he did. He had an absolute heart of gold and loved spending time helping other people in any way he knew how.. Wayne was a lover of motorcycles and one of his favorite pastimes was riding his Classic Harley. Wayne enjoyed being outdoors, grilling out and hanging out with his loved ones. He was a natural comedian and could make anyone laugh and brought so much joy to the lives of his family and friends.

Wayne had been a member of River of Life church, in Pekin, IL. He played in the worship band, changing Rock songs into Christain songs. Wayne had a vibrant love for the Lord and inspired others with his Faith and Hope in God.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A time to celebrate his life will be Wednesday, March 11, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until his time of service at 7:00 p.m. all at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Pastor Mike Forbis will officiate.
