Virginia Mae "Gin" Wild

Virginia Mae “Gin” Wild, 83, of Chillicothe, IL passed away at 1:15 pm on Monday, October 19, 2020 at Heritage Health-Chillicothe. She was born on August 4, 1937 in DuQuoin, IL to Charles William Pilbean and Christina Marie (Fowler) Pilbean Ansley. She was formerly married to Fred G. Wild.

Surviving are her daughter Tonda (Jeffrey) Thompson of Peoria; granddaughter Jessica Thompson of Peoria; grandson Jeffrey Michael Thompson of Waunakee, WI; sister Norma Jean Perez of Mesa, Arizona; brother William “Bill” Pilbean of Ellis Grove, IL; and cherished caregiver Chasatie Pitts of Peoria. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Virginia had worked at Rossetter Ford for 19 years, along with working at Proctor Hospital, Thompson Food Basket, and Advanced Medical Transport as a bookkeeper. She was a former member of Highview Road Church of God in Washington and attended Northwoods Community Church in Peoria. Virginia enjoyed reading, drawing, painting, writing, sewing, and bowling. She loved cheering on her grandchildren and singing church hymns. She was a dedicated prayer warrior and faithful servant. She will be dearly missed.
