Shirley Siebert Obituary

Shirley B. Siebert, age 93, passed peacefully May 8, 2022, in East Peoria, IL. Shirley was born to Cecelia Amelia Hutt and Joseph Wallace Brill on August 12, 1929, in Peoria, IL and was later married in 1947 to Everett Gale Siebert for 74 years.  

She and Gale vacationed every year in Miami Beach, FL and after living in Peoria, IL, Miami, FL, Greenville, SC and Jacksonville, FL and retired to Mulberry, FL in 1991. 

Shirley was an avid bowler participating in the Women’s Int’l. Bowling Congress (WIBC) every year traveling with her sisters. She also enjoyed playing bingo weekly and volunteered with Gale and enjoyed many friendships with friends in Mulberry, FL and members of the Lakeland, FL Amateur Radio Club, participating in the annual “Sun ‘n Fun” activities until they returned to Pekin, IL, in 2016. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Gale, just three months earlier, as well as sisters Donna Flier, Susie Brill and Connie Rassi, and brothers Robert “Bobby” Brill, Ralph “Buddy” Brill and Joseph Brill, Jr.   

Shirley is survived by her son Michael (Shelli) Siebert of Conyers, GA & Mobile, AL, one daughter Cheri Siebert of Anchorage AK, Grandchildren Sarah Sellars (Barrett) of Mount Pleasant, SC, Rachel Earlywine (Jere) of Tallahassee FL, Julian Siebert (Rachael) of Johns Island, SC, Michael Siebert II (Rebecca) of Senoia, GA, Shawn Siebert of Anchorage, AK, Great Grandchildren Ireland & Aurora Earlywine of Tallahassee, FL  and Clayton & Graham Sellars of Mount Pleasant, SC, as well as Sister Della Bohm (David) of Glasford, IL and Tommy Brill (Janet) of Peoria, IL in addition to many nieces and nephews and their children in Illinois, Tennessee, Indiana Kentucky and Florida. 

Cremation rites have been accorded and no service will be held at this time. The family will gather later for a celebration of life.
