Seth Thomas Guthrie, 27, died on July 5, 2020, after an unfortunate traffic accident. He was born July 30, 1992, in Peoria, IL, to Amy Zerbonia and Shannon Guthrie. Seth lived in Peoria his whole life except for a brief time in Seattle, WA.
Seth is survived by his mother and father as well as his brother, Lucas, sister, Madisen, step-father Doug Byrne, step-mother Angi Gregory, and step-brother Lance Skaggs. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Bernadine Zerbonia, and paternal grandmother Cyndy Sutter, both of Peoria. Seth also had one aunt, Tanya Zerbonia, and two uncles, Noel Zerbonia (Nancy) and Jason Guthrie and cousins: Elizabeth, Emily, and Elise Zerbonia and Brittney Ragon. Seth also left behind girlfriend McKayla Ruetz along with his many furry loved ones.
Seth worked as an Assembly and Test Specialist at Caterpillar in East Peoria. He attended Holy Family Grade School and Peoria Notre Dame and Central High Schools.
Seth loved animals and sports, in particular, soccer and BMX. He played travel soccer for SFC for many years. He was an avid video gamer, loved cars and bikes, and being outdoors. Seth loved to go to music festivals and had innumerable friends that were always ready to go on an adventure with him. He dreamed of living in Washington state by the mountains, biking, and camping. To know Seth was to love him: he always had a kind word of support for his friends. From the time he was young, he loved anything that moved fast.
