Robert Friederich

Robert Brian Friederich, 66, of Washington, IL, passed away at 2:10 pm on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Heritage Health-Chillicothe in Chillicothe, IL after a 25-year battle with Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy.

He was born on August 20, 1955, in Peoria, IL, to Robert H. and Marilyn (Nibbelin) Friederich.  Bob married Vicki Ann Harper on April 21, 1979, in Peoria, IL.

Surviving are his wife, Vicki, one daughter, Stephanie McNair; six grandchildren, Eboni McNair, Marcellus Jowers, Tone McNair, Elise McNair, Elvis McNair, and Cain McNair; three great-grandchildren, Malachi Moore, Julian Flowers, and Levi Hister; and his in laws Byron and Nancy Hallam along his pet dog, Smudgey.  He was preceded in death by his parents infant twin sons Jason and Joshua, and grandson Josiah McNair.

Bob was a graduate of Illinois Valley Central High School. He later attended and graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in American History.   Bob worked for IDOT for 15 years and later owned and operated “You’ve Got it Maid” cleaning services in Chillicothe.

Bob loved trivia and American History.  In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, golf, and bowling.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
