Robert Allison

Raymond D. Allison, 89, of Washington, passed away at 11:05am, Sunday June 17, 2018, at Unity Point Health Proctor in Peoria, IL.

He was born on October 16, 1928 in Washington, DC the son of Raymond D. and Winnie Allison Sr. He married Rosamund L on October 25, 1952 in Old Greenwich, CT. she passed away on November 28, 2013 from injuries suffered in the Washington tornado.   He later married Cacena Ackley on July 25, 2014. She survives.

Also surviving are one son William L. Allison and one grandson Andrew Allison of both of Crete, IL. 

He was a 1944 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Washington D.C. Ray enlisted with U.S. Army and served as a Military Police Officer during the Korean Conflict. After his honorable discharge, Ray enrolled and graduated from Duke University with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration and Economics. He then received an offer from Caterpillar Tractor Co. and worked in Peoria as well as Glasgow, Scotland before returning to Peoria and working at the Caterpillar Headquarters office, retiring in 1986.

 Cremation rites have been accorded and at Ray’s request, no services are scheduled.  Memorials in his name may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice. Visit www.masonfuneralhomes.comto share a memory with Raymond’s family.
