Richard L. Schall Jr

Richard L. Schall Jr., 56. Of rural Metamora, passed away unexpectedly at 7:33am at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on September 28, 1956 in Peoria the son of Richard Lee and Shirley Garwood Schall Sr. He married Lynne Dickey on June 19, 1993 and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters Emily and Nicole Schall, his father of Charlotte, TN as well as 3 half-sisters and 3 half- brothers. His mother preceded him in death. Richard was a 1974 graduate of East Peoria High School. He was a U.S. Marine serving during the Vietnam War before being honorably discharged in December of 1977. His most recent employment was with Roanoke Concrete for the past 10 years. Richard?s home and family was the center of his life. He enjoyed his work, but just being and doing things with and for his family gave him the most happiness and satisfaction. Our loyal, caring husband, father and friend will be greatly missed. Cremation rites have been accorded with a private memorial service to be held. The family will receive friends from 10:30am until 12 noon on Monday July 15, 2013 at Mason Funeral Home in Germantown Hills to celebrate Richard?s life. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Richard Schall Memorial Fund at Heartland Bank in Germantown Hills.
