Regina G. "Jeannie" Johnson

Regina G. "Jeannie" Johnson, 62, of Germantown Hills, Illinois was called to be with the Lord at 11:26 am on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. She was born on September 29, 1953 in Peoria, IL to Floyd R. and Helen B. (Droke) Bailey. She married Marvin J. Johnson in Peoria on September 16, 1972 and they celebrated 43 years of marriage this year. He survives. Also surviving are her son Jeffrey R. Johnson of Germantown Hills; daughter Jennifer L. (Jayson) Williams of Metamora; five grandchildren Peyton and Parker Johnson and Dylan, Maya, and Brooklyn Williams; and brother Floyd R. (Nancy) Bailey, Jr. of Morton, IL. Her parents preceded her in death. Jeannie was a long time member of Germantown Hills Baptist Church. She had worked for ten years at OSF as the revenue and receipts coordinator. Jeannie had a great enthusiasm for life with her energy and smile. She loved the annual trip to Branson with the grandkids for fun in the sun and roller coasters. Jeannie enjoyed traveling and made many memories with a trip to Hawaii and several out west to enjoy warm weather. She enjoyed shopping, women's bible study, and spending time with her church friends. She loved her St. Louis Cardinals and could be found at her grandkids sporting events cheering loud and proud. Jeannie loved her family, friends, and church family. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Germantown Hills Baptist Church with Reverends Ed Kensil and Nat Kealen officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel and also one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Metamora. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Educational Fund for Jeannie's grandchildren at CEFCU in Germantown Hills or the American Heart Association.
