Paula J. (Haywood) Steffen

Paula J. Steffen, 67, of Lowpoint, IL, passed away at 12:54 am on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Carle Health-Methodist Hospital in Peoria, IL.

She was born on June 14, 1956, in Peoria, IL, to Paul and Barbara Joann (Temple) Haywood.

Surviving are her two sons, Nicholas (Bobbi) Chambers of Tulsa, OK and Dylan Steffen of Lowpoint, IL; two grandchildren; brother, Roger (Tina) Haywood of O’Fallon, MO; sister-in-law, Diane Haywood of Peoria, IL; one niece; and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Greg Haywood.

Paula was a medical transcriptionist. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, mowing, being outside, reading, and decorating, especially for the holidays. She was a lover of cats and dogs.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Reverend Bob DeBolt officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until time of service, also on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Bay Cemetery in Spring Bay, IL.
