Paul J. Meeks, Jr

WASHINGTON?Paul J. Meeks, Jr., 51, of Washington, passed away at 8:40 p.m., Monday, June 17, 2013 at his daughter?s home in Washington. Paul was born on July 19, 1961 in San Diego to Paul and Beverly (Mazon) Meeks, Sr. He married Joan Ellen Meyer in Peoria on August 8, 1982. She passed away in March, 1989. Among those surviving are his father, Paul Meeks, Sr. of Washington; two sons, Paul "P.J." Meeks, III of Mobile, Alabama and Makyah Meeks of Washington; two daughters, Tonya Meeks of Washington and Heather (Eric) Allen of Spring Bay; one sister, Dori (Kent) Eichelkraut of Washington; three grandchildren, Victoria, Mason and Autumn and a niece and nephew, Hallie and Evan.. He was also preceded in death by his mother. Paul had worked as a parts clerk for Peoria Bearing for many years. He had attended Washington Community High School and his favorite past times included camping, fishing and cooking. A celebration of Paul?s life will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 7 p.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor John Rothfusz officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Meeks Education Fund in care of Washington State Bank.
