Ogle Ripley age 89 of Washington, Illinois formerly of Peoria passed away at 7:34pm Friday April 12, 2013 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. He was born July 4, 1923 in Wolf Lake, IL., to Charles W. and Maggie V. (Smith) Ripley. He married Hallie U. (Nance) Linton on Aug. 7, 1950 in Piggett AR., and she passed away April 3, 2010. Surviving are his children, Charles (Brenda) Linton of E. Peoria, Dennis (Connie) Ripley of Canton, Danny (Joyce) Ripley of South Pekin, Janet (Steve) Meyer of Bay View Gardens, and Paula (Richard) Burger of Washington. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 6 brothers and 4 sisters. Ogle worked at Caterpillar for 32 years working at the foundry and driving a truck at the proving grounds retiring in June of 1977. He was Ordained as a Minister on April 27, 1947 at Manual Baptist Church in Cobden, IL. He was a pastor for 58 years for churches in Southern Illinois and the Peoria area. Member of Harvard Hill Baptist Church in Washington. He enjoyed garage sales and coffee time with friends at Hardee?s in Washington. Ogle is now with his angel Hallie and his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Wednesday April 17, 2013 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Moss and Rev. Gerald Steffy officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4pm until 7pm at the funeral home and also one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Spring Bay Cemetery.
