Lucille "Lucy" Thelma (Bach) Pinkham, 94, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at her residence in Long Beach, CA. She was born on May 28, 1921 in Peoria, IL to Emil G. and Alta P. (Decker) Bach. Lucy married the love of her life, Thaddus. They were married for 49 years before his passing in 1996. Surviving are her three sons James (Laura) Adams, Stephen (Juliana) Pinkham, and William (Debra) Pinkham; seven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews in several states, including Illinois. Lucy served as 1st Lieutenant in the Army Nursing Core in World War II in England and France, for which she received a bronze star. She attended schools in Peoria, including one year at Bradley University and three years of Nurses' Training at Methodist Hospital. Further education included one semester at Loyola University in Chicago for Public Health credentials. For 30 years Lucy was a school nurse in East Peoria, Illinois and Long Beach, CA. Lucy was loved by her family and friends. She touched the lives of so many and will be dearly missed. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Willow Hill United Methodist Church in Germantown Hills, IL with Pastor Ken Hogren officiating. Burial will be held in Fondulac Township Cemetery in East Peoria, IL with military rites accorded.
