Louise Marie (Miller) Kennell

Mrs. Louise Marie Kennell, 92, of Wenona, IL, passed away at 1:35 pm on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at her residence.

She was born on December 23, 1929 in Buffalo Center, IA to Walter R. and Clara D. (Winkleman) Miller. She married Harold J. Kennell on August 2, 1955 in Roanoke, IL. He passed away on August 9, 2014.

Surviving are her children, Marilou “Marli” Kennell of Estes Park, CO, Patricia Culwell of Oakridge, OR, and Jeffrey (Laurel) Kennell of Wenona, IL; grandchildren, Jazlin and Sonya Sobel, and Grace, Rose, Peter, Emily, and Daniel Kennell; brothers, Donald (Pam) Miller of Spokane, WA, Lowell (Marie) Miller of Ranier, WA, and Lawrence (Donna) Miller of Clear Lake, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Karen Kay, and three brothers.

From childhood she had an unwavering faith in Jesus as her savior and was a member of the Cazenovia Mennonite Church in Cazenovia, IL. A very capable, steady woman, Louise was an R.N. and homemaker, working tirelessly with her husband in the family business. She had a heart to serve others sacrificially and her sweet disposition ministered to all who knew her.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Cazenovia Mennonite Church with Dennis Kennell officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until time of service on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Roanoke Mennonite Cemetery in rural Roanoke, IL.
