Louis E. Gallup

We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Louis E. Gallup, 78, of Metamora, IL on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 in Helena, Montana.

He is survived by his wife, Carol of 55 years and two sons, Darin (Krista) Gallup of Metamora and Cory (Natalie) Gallup of Helena, MT. He also leaves behind two grandsons, Noah Gallup and Cody Walsh and two granddaughters, Gabrielle and Addison Gallup.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bill, sister MaryLou, and grandson Keegan Gallup.

He retired from Caterpillar as a supervisor after 38 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving from 1962 - 1964 and a lifetime VFW member and Knights of Columbus.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 1:00 pm at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Minonk, Illinois with military rights accorded.

A Celebration of Life will be held after the graveside service at Mona’s in Toluca, IL from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm.
