Joseph L. Curley, 53, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 1:33 am on Saturday, August 23, 2025 in the Emergency Department at Carle Health-Methodist Hospital in Peoria IL.

He was born on July 2, 1972, in Peoria, IL, to Harry W. Curley and Becky Agre.

Joe spent his early life growing up in Lowpoint, IL.  He enjoyed spending his time with his family and friends and hunting and fishing with his father, Harry, and brother, Mike. Joe was very close to his mother, Becky, and sister, Barb.

We all grew up, and over the years Joe was married twice, had six children and two grandchildren.  He also had a second sister, Kaitlyn.

Joe loved everyone in his life very much.  He loved living life, eating good food, and telling stories about all the places he had been and people he had met.  Joe loved to laugh. He spent a good number of years in Florida with his girlfriend, Jennifer Larkins.  Joe loved the Florida life; it was a great time in his life.

Joe will be truly missed by all he knew.  He was a big guy with a huge heart.  Until we meet again my brother, I LOVE YOU JOE.

There will be a celebration of life for Joe from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 12, 2025 at the American Legion Post 661 in Washburn, IL.  All are welcome to join us and remember Joe.
