Jill Rockwood

January 23, 1973 — February 6, 2018

Jill E. Rockwood, 45, of Washington passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her family. Jill was born on January 23, 1973 in San Diego, CA. She met her husband Brian Rockwood at Bradley University and married on June 9, 1997 in San Diego, CA. They shared two sons together Trevor and Colin. She was a loving mother and wife.

Jill was a graduate of The Bishop's School in La Jolla, CA., Bradley University in Peoria, IL and the Max Planck Institute in Dresden, Germany, ultimately earning a Master's Degree in Chemistry with a minor in Art. She was a member of the American Chemical Society and spent many weekends at the Lakeview Museum donning safety goggles while performing hands-on chemistry experiments with kids in the community.

Jill was a beautiful, vivacious, intelligent, artistic, and fun natured woman with a bubbly personality who enjoyed life to the fullest. She was a Cardinal fan, enjoyed photography, water color paintings, creating necklaces, and visiting the beach. She loved to laugh, learn, and share experiences with her family and friends, and has fortunately shared many before she passed. She was kind and thoughtful. Although her time on Earth was way too short, she touched so many people and will be forever missed.

Surviving are her husband, their two sons Trevor (17) and Colin (14), and her parents David and Lorraine Boyd Felix.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial gathering to celebrate Jill's life will be Thursday, February 15, 2018, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Mason-White Funeral Home, 20 Valley Forge Rd in Washington. Memorials in her name may be given to ride.jdrf.org for Brian, Trevor or Colin for the 2018 LaCrosse ride. To share memories of Jill with others, leave a post @ www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
