Jenny Emma Jo (Snyder) Kiesewetter

Jenny Emma Jo Kiesewetter, 96, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 3:05 pm on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka in Eureka, IL.

She was born on April 26, 1926, in Lostant, IL, to Sylvan and Ethel M. (Triplett) Snyder. She married Harold W. Kiesewetter on April 15, 1950 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Lostant, IL. He passed away on August 22, 2017.

Surviving are her son, Kenneth (Cindy) Kiesewetter of Metamora, IL; daughter, Susan Forester of Dahlonega, GA; granddaughters, Sara (Wes) Drew and Jenell (Matt) Boehl; great-grandchildren, Makenna Reeves, Olivia Hecathorn, Sylvan Drew, and Katarina Drew. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Douglas Forester, and five brothers.

Emma Jo was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Metamora. She enjoyed playing cards, especially with family, singing with her family, and she even sang karaoke at 93! She also enjoyed fishing, crocheting, and gardening. She loved her flowers.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until mass time, also on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Metamora.
