Jean A. (Riley) Herrick

Jean A. Herrick, 70, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 7:57 am on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Snyder Village Health Center in Metamora.

She was born on June 3, 1954, in Peoria, IL, to James F. and Doris Mae (Reeser) Riley. She married Thomas W. Herrick on October 25, 1975 in Roanoke, IL.

Surviving are her husband, Tom of Metamora; son, Robert (Kristina) Herrick of Germantown Hills, IL; daughter, Kristin Herrick of Roseville, MN; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Zander) Herrick, Natalie Herrick, Daniel Herrick and James Herrick; and brother, Larry (Kim) Riley of Tuscon, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Jean enjoyed sewing, housekeeping chores, and traveling. She enjoyed listening to the Metamora Township High School bands and attending MTHS Band Invitationals. She loved taking care of her children and grandchildren.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Christian Union Church with Pastor Gary Salm officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at the church and also one hour prior to her service, also on Wednesday at the church.
