James A. “Jim” Gangloff, 73, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 3:30 am on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at his residence. He was born on May 2, 1948, in Peoria, IL, to Arthur E. and Mildred J. (Schneider) Gangloff. He married Sue Ann Stromberger on November 30, 1991, in Spring Bay, IL.
Surviving are his wife, Sue of Metamora; children, Jason Gangloff of Washington, Leslie “Pebs” Meeks of Metamora, and Ryan (Taunya) Meeks of Washington; five grandchildren; siblings, Joanne Welte of Metamora and Tom “Cheeseball” Gangloff of Peoria; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Chad Gangloff, sister Jannie Turner, and two brothers-in-law.
Jim had worked as a roofer. He enjoyed grilling, gardening, duck hunting, NASCAR, the Pittsburg Steelers, and watching Gunsmoke. He loved his dog, Norman.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
