Jacqueline Lee Jones, 80, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 11:50 pm on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
She was born on June 1, 1943, in Youngstown, OH, to Raymond L. and Mary M. (Hanadzush) Metcalf. She married Dale L. Jones in Youngstown, OH on May 15, 1965. He passed away on February 25, 2013.
Surviving are three granddaughters, Sabrina Jones of Washington, IL, Olivia Jones of East Peoria, IL, and Cara (Jones) Ogle of Tremont, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Brad Jones and William Scott Jones, two brothers, James Metcalf and Joe Metcalf, and sister, Dee Kaminsky.
Jacqueline had worked at Ohio Bell, Caterpillar, and lastly for the Metamora Post Office for 27 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Jacqueline enjoyed traveling, gardening, doing puzzles, and cooking for family.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 25, 2023, at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Pastor Rod Schertz officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until time of service also on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Emergency 116 Ambulance Service, P.O.
