Howard Lorraine Matheny, 62, of Bayview Gardens passed away at 5:38 pm on Monday, February 8, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He was born on November 3, 1958 in Peoria, IL to Arvel T. and Clarissa E. (Tripp) Matheny.

Surviving are his fiancé, Bobbi Criswell of Bayview Gardens; siblings, Carroll (Shirley) Matheny of Peoria, Kay (Bud) Courtway of Spring Bay, Rosemary (Leroy) Hodson of Pekin, Ellen “Janie” (Dan) Giosta of Pekin, and Linda (Rick) Davis of Lake City, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Deb Matheny of Bayview Gardens; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Arvel “Ray” Matheny and Bill Matheny, and niece Rena Courtway.

Howard drove a truck and worked in construction for IDOT, State of Illinois. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening, and cooking.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial of Ashes will take place at Spring Bay Cemetery in Spring Bay at a later date.
