Henrietta E. Wernsman

Henrietta Elizabeth Wernsman age 93 of Metamora passed away at 2:45pm Tuesday April 30, 2013 at her residence. She was born Nov. 24, 1919 in Whitefield, Illinois to George F. and Rachel I. (Rickey) True. She married Omer H. Wernsman on April 23, 1938 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Metamora, he passed away in 2006. They had five children born into their marriage, Ronald (Ina) Wernsman, Omer E. (Nancy) Wernsman, Beverly Driscoll, Linda (Mike) Guth, and Diane (Terry) White all of Metamora. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson Darren Wernsman, daughter-in-law Jerry Wernsman and two sisters. Henrietta had worked at Metamora Woodworking and Bergners in Peoria. Her favorite past times were watching the St. Louis Cardinals play baseball and tending to her flowers. She was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Metamora. A funeral mass will be at 10:00am Saturday May 4, 2013 at St. Mary?s Church with father Don Roszkowski officiating. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 3:30pm with visitation to follow from 4pm until 7pm Friday at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery in Metamora.
