Obituary

Everett Gale Siebert, 94 passed peacefully January 26, 2022, in Washington (IL). Gale was born to Mary Rae Chandler April 30, 1927, in Cuba (IL) and later adopted by John B. Siebert in marriage with Mary Rae.

Gale enlisted in the Navy in 1944 and served in WWII until 1946 and later in Greenland 1951-1952.

He worked for ADT before he enlisted and then again after his two returns from service in the Navy. After 46 years with ADT working in Peoria (IL), Miami (FL), Greenville (SC), and Jacksonville (FL), he and Shirley retired to Mulberry (FL). Gale was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Peoria (IL) and enjoyed photography, bowling, and later amateur radio.  He and Shirley volunteered and enjoyed many friendships with members of the Lakeland (FL) Amateur Radio Club, participating in annual “Sun ‘n Fun” activities until they returned to Pekin, IL, in 2016.

Gale is survived by his wife Shirley of 73 years of East Peoria (IL), stepbrother James Darnell of Onalaska (WI), son Michael (Shelli) Siebert of Conyers (GA) & Mobile (AL), daughter Cheri Siebert of Anchorage (AK), Grandchildren Sarah Sellars (Barrett) of Mount Pleasant (SC), Rachel Earlywine (Jere) of Tallahassee (FL), Julian Siebert (Rachael) of Johns Island (SC), Michael Siebert II (Rebecca) of Senoia (GA), Shawn Siebert of Anchorage (AK), Great Grandchildren Ireland & Aurora Earlywine of Tallahassee (FL) and Clayton & Graham Sellars of Mount Pleasant (SC).

Cremation rites were accorded. No service will be held at this time. The family will gather at a later date for a celebration of life.
