Evelyn May Rogers

Evelyn May Rogers, 94, of Anna, IL, formerly of Peoria, IL passed away at 4:30 pm on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Hillview Healthcare Center.

Evelyn was born on May 12, 1923 in Merritt, IL the daughter of Earl and Nellie (Lankford) Priest. She married John Rogers on February 12, 1947 and he preceded her in death on December 2, 1999.

She was a member of University United Methodist Church in Peoria and attended the First Christian Church in Anna. She was a member of the Eastern Star.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters Barbara (Robert) Hartley of Anna and Becky Rogers of Anna; granddaughter Kendra (Tim) Denny of Anna; great-grandchildren Payton and Addison Denny of Anna; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Rogers, brothers Clarence, Floyd, Orie, Oren, and Donald Priest and grandson James Robert Hartley.

Inurnment will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to Hillview Healthcare Center and will be accepted at the funeral home.
