Eric Charles Huser

Eric Charles Huser, 49, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 3:34 pm on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Carle Bromenn Medical Center in Normal, IL.
He was born on December 27, 1972, in Peoria, IL, to Kenneth “Kenny” and Virginia “Ginny” (Schneider) Huser. He married Amanda S. Craig on May 21, 2005, in Toluca, IL.

Surviving are his wife, Amanda of Metamora; daughter, Chesnie Huser, and son, Briar Huser, both at home; siblings, Doug Huser and Scott (Janet) Huser, both of Metamora, Greg Huser of Washington, IL; Tammy (Scott) Blanchard of LowPoint, and Lori Huser of Cazenovia; in-laws, Wayne (Peggy) Craig of Washburn; brothers-in-law, Shawn (Molly) Craig of Benson, IL and Matt (Heather) Craig of Jadwin, MO; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and niece Sarah Blanchard.

He was a heavy equipment operator at Roanoke Concrete for many years. He loved his family and spending the weekend watching his kids at the ball field. You could find him every day doing chores on the farm. Every chance his family had, they spent enjoying time at their cabins and going on Ranger rides. Eric never met a stranger. He enjoyed hanging out with friends and striking up a conversation with whoever he crossed paths with.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel, with Reverend Rod Schertz officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, June 20, 2022, at the funeral home and also one hour prior to his service on Tuesday, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora. A luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to an Educational Fund for Eric’s children, Chesnie and Briar, at Goodfield State Bank, 800 West Mt.
