Dorothy B. Jenkins

Dorothy B. Jenkins, 89, of Washington, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.

She was born on November 8, 1934, in Fisk, MO, a daughter of Joe and Vella (Lockley) Spurlock.

Dorothy grew up in Missouri, where she met the love of her life, Bob Jenkins. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Jean Spurlock and Paul Spurlock; and one great granddaughter, Ella Arnold.

She is survived by her daughters, Tresha Jenkins of Washington, Jan (Jimmie) Logan of Washington, Sharon (Doug) Austin of East Peoria and Tammie (Jim) Mahrt of Washington; five grandchildren, Tracy Myers, Justin, Jared, Jesse and Jacob Arnold; great grandchildren, Kyle Myers, Kelsey Celus, Wyatt, Kamden, Amelia, Jamison, Matthew and Addison Arnold; great-great grandchildren, Liam and Harper Myers; and siblings, Hazel Weathers, Linda (Larry) Randl, Kathy (Bob) Taylor and Larry Spurlock, all of Missouri.

Dorothy was a homemaker her entire life, always helping whenever she could. Her greatest passions were family, going to church and mostly, serving the Lord.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Mason White Funeral Home in Washington, with Pastor Caleb Bond officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.
