Donald L. Kenyon age 84 of Washington, Illinois passed away at 9:58am Tuesday Nov. 19, 2013 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. He was born May 23, 1929 in Lacon, Illinois to Dale L. and Myrtle (Whisler) Kenyon. He married Betty Bachman, then married Elizabeth C. Baird on May 23, 1964 in Peoria and she died Dec. 5, 1999, he then married Janice M. Galli on Feb. 19, 2004 in Washington and she survives. Surviving are his three children, Linda (Jim) Gebel of Washburn, Carol (Lee) Liable of Lakeside CA., and Dean (Marla) Kenyon of Germantown Hills; 6 step children, 9 grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers Willard Kenyon of Marietta, GA., Dr. Dennis (Donna) Kenyon of Rogersville, MO., two sisters Doris (Richard) Reeder of Toluca, and Jeanette Olson of New Vienna, Iowa. In his early years Don farmed and was also a truck driver working for O?Neal Brothers Trucking for 20 years. Member of Teamsters Local #641 in Peoria, he was a loyal Yankees and Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed growing his garden and taking his vegetables to the South Side Mission. Don and Janice enjoyed going out to eat and to church and loved taking bus tours especially the tours of Washington, D.C. He was member of Oak Grove Church of the Brethren in Low Point, IL. Funeral Services for Don will be at 2:00pm Saturday Nov. 23, 2013 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Rev. Robert DeBolt officiating. Visitation will from 12noon until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Low Point. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Oak Grove Church of the Brethren.
