Donald Wayne Harry Abney, Jr., 52, of Metamora, IL passed away at 5:59 pm on Friday, March 20, 2020 at his residence. He was born on December 18, 1967 in Peoria, IL to Donald Wayne Harry Abney, Sr. and Susan Holland.

Surviving are his mother Janet Abney; son Justin Kentner; daughters Crystal Mayberry and Carmen Abney; grandson Landen Kentner; granddaughter Spencer Mayberry; brother Timothy (Amy) Abney; sisters Theresa (Bill) Reed and Stephanie Thornhill; step-brothers Mark (Mary) Cox and Todd (Nancy) Cox, and Timothy (Theresa) Cox; and step-sisters Amber (Pat) Mulcahy, Tracy (Steve) Molendi, and Wendy (Robert) DuBois. He was preceded in death by his father Donald, brother Randy Adams, and sister Alesia Marie.

Donald was a member of Northwoods Community Church. He was family-oriented and enjoyed showing his kids the simple pleasures in life, with a passion of working with his hands, collecting patriotic memorabilia, and singing country music. He is a character that will be missed by many. He might have passed before his time, but we will remember the good memories and lessons he taught us throughout our lives. Donald will surely be missed and never forgotten by those who loved him.
