Dennis A. Eilers

Dennis A. Eilers, 76, of East Peoria, IL passed away on February 22, 2022, at Mojave Bloom Assisted Living in Green Valley, Arizona.

He was born on October 7, 1945, in Washington, IL, to Reynold L. and Marguerite (Schumacher) Eilers. He was preceded in death by his parents. Dennis married Becky A. Spalding on March 31, 1985, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Surviving are his wife, Becky of East Peoria; children, Kevin (Kristin) Eilers of Bettendorf, Iowa, Kelly (Justin) Watt of Danville, IL, Karolyn (Steve) Talbert of Oak Park, IL, and Keith (Connie) Eilers of Lisle, IL; grandchildren, Megan and Matt Eilers, Blake and Jordan Watt, Audrey and Eli Talbert, and Jacob, Connor, and Lucas Eilers; and brother, Reynold Eilers, Jr. of Jupiter, Florida.

Dennis was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of the Spring Bay American Legion Post 1115. He worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company in the factory accounting department for 41 years, retiring in 2006. After retirement, he worked at Quail Meadows Golf Club in East Peoria until 2019. Dennis was an avid golfer who traveled to many states to play his beloved sport. He loved to travel, was a coin collector, and a sports fanatic for every sport imaginable.
