Dee A. Mellin

Dee A. Mellin age 41 of East Peoria, Illinois passed away Wednesday Oct. 17, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born Dec. 2, 1970 in Peoria to Chuck and Wilma (Reeves) Reise. She married Leonard "Lenny" Mellin on Nov. 25, 2001 in Eureka, IL. and he survives. Surviving are three daughters, Amber Reeves of Eureka, Meaghanne Mellin of El Paso, IL., and Kaylin Chioni of Goodfield, IL., three grandchildren Rylee, Payton, and Sophia. Dee is also survived by her parents of Washburn, IL., brothers Eric and Edward Reise both of Washburn, six step sisters and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and two uncles. Dee worked as a cook at Illinois Central College for nine years, and helped her husband at Pizza Place II in Germantown Hills. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and was baptized Catholic. Funeral services will be at 7:00pm Monday Oct. 22, 2012 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with Rev. Gary Salm officiating. Visitation will be from 4pm until service time at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded after services with burial of ashes at a later date.
