Clarice A Tiller, 90, of Washington, IL passed away at 5:15 am on March 31, 2024, at Accolade Healthcare and Rehabilitation of Peoria.
She was born on March 21, 1934, in Groveland Twp, IL, the daughter of James and Verna Dunbar Modendricker. She married Earl Tiller on April 12, 1952, in Peoria. He passed away on February 28, 2012.
Clarice is survived by her five beloved children: Debbie Grady of Peoria, IL, Steve (Sandy) Tiller of Mesa, AZ, Joe Tiller of Peoria, IL and Ted (Alice) Tiller, of Washington, IL, and Mark (Tami) Tiller of Huntington, WV. She also leaves behind a legacy of love in her five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and one niece.
Clarice was a long-time member of Grace Bible Church. She served the church with a joyful spirit and a gentle hand for many years. Her presence was a comforting constant, and her meticulous care ensured that the church was always a welcoming space for worship and fellowship.
Clarice's involvement with the church went beyond her professional role; she was an active participant in church events and a supportive figure in many church associations.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life in honor of Clarice will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Grace Bible Church. Pastor Adam Kipp will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. The inurnment of her remains will be a private ceremony at Glendale Cemetery in Washington. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be given to Grace Bible Church. Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington has been entrusted with the arrangements.
