Cheryl J Peoples

WASHINGTON - Cheryl J. Peoples. 70, of Washington, IL passed away at 7:35 pm, Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at her residence in the loving care of her family.

She was born on August 25, 1951 in Peoria the daughter of Tom and Hazel Becannon Pritchard.  She married Gary L. Peoples on August 7, 1971 in Washington.

Surviving are her husband, one son Gary A. (Jennifer) Peoples of Charlotte, NC, three brothers Jerry (Sally) Pritchard of Portland, IN, Don Pritchard, Bill (Shari) Pritchard and one sister Janet Pritchard all of Washington. Her parents, one brother James Pritchard, and two sisters Judith Franklin and Nancy Lutz all preceded her in death.

She was a teacher in the Washington area for many years.  Cheryl was a member of St Marks’s Lutheran Church in Washington.  She was a devoted wife and mother who cared deeply for her family and students throughout the years.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A private memorial service is scheduled for Friday, September 3, 2021 at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Pastor Dick Hanson will officiate.   There will be no visitation.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, https://www.stjude.org/treatment/affiliate-clinics/peoria-illinois.html.  Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington is assisting with arrangements.
