Charles "Dee" Myers

Charles "Dee" Myers, 59, of Secor, IL passed away at 12:00 noon on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at his residence. He was born on December 3, 1956 in Peoria, IL to Charley G. and Wilma M. (Ales) Myers. He married Donna M. Downen on January 21, 1989 in Secor. She survives. Also surviving are his children David Myers of Eureka, Nichol (Michael) Tull of Gridley, and Charley Myers at home; grandchildren William, Sean, and Nelli Tull and Scarlet Myers; and siblings Dennis (Darla) Myers of Lerna, IL and Jane Clark of East Peoria, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother David Myers. Dee was a truck driver for multiple trucking companies, had been a welder at DMI in Goodfield, and had worked at Caterpillar and Parsons. He was a die hard St. Louis Cardinals fan and Formula One racing fan. He loved talking about politics, religion and conspiracy theories. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and loved spending time with his grandkids. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at Secor United Methodist Church with Dewey Yates officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel. Burial will be in Secor Cemetery, Secor.
