Carol F. Worthington, 84, of Washington, passed away at 3:30am, Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Reflections Memory Care-Washington.
She was born on December 21, 1933, in Washington the daughter of Morris and Faye Sprague Sprague. She married Ival I. Worthington on September 14, 1952 in Washington and he passed away on January 14, 1999. One infant sister Jane Lou and older Joyce Nordheilm and one nephew Bradley Dean Nordheilm also preceded her in death
Surviving are two sons Jeff (Leslie) Worthington of Washington and Mark (Robin) Worthington of Freeburg, IL. Also surviving are grandchildren, great grand-children, nieces, nephews, cousins along with one brother in law Bert Nordheilm, one sister in law Barb Worthington and many friends.
Carol worked for Essig Motor Company in Washington and later working Sam Leman Auto in Eureka before her retirement. After her retirement she worked part time for Attorney Brian Heller in Washington.
She was a lifetime member of Washington Christian Church and served as a Sunday School Teacher, Deaconess, and was active in the choir, and the Vacation Bible School program.
Services will be 11:00am, Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Washington Christian Church. Her nephew Curt Nordheilm will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, July 9, 2018, at Mason-White Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 7:00pm and one hour prior to her services at the church. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be given to Washington Christian Church Missions or to Alzheimer’s Association 614 W. Glen Ave. Peoria, IL 61614.
