Carina C. (Alig) Stotler

Carina C. Stotler, 87, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 2:49 pm on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

She was born on August 1, 1934, in Metamora, IL, to Joseph and Theresa (Schaub) Alig. She married Earl F. Stotler on June 19, 1954 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Metamora, IL.

Surviving are her husband, Earl of Metamora; daughter, Mary (David) Fehr of Madison, Mississippi; daughter-in-law, Julie Stotler of Metamora; granddaughter, Lindsey (Zach) Wabel of Metamora; great-granddaughter, Ronni Wabel; and sister, Joanie (Lou) Turner of Metamora. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Ron Stotler, four sisters, and one brother.

Carina worked as a telephone operator at MTCO in Metamora for six years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Metamora and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a seamstress making habits for the Motherhouse for The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis – Mount Alverno Novitiate in Germantown Hills, IL for 17 years. Carina enjoyed gardening and baking.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Father Greg Jozefiak officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Metamora.
