WASHINGTON?Bradley Dean Nordhielm, 59, of Washington, passed away at 3:50 p.m., Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Unity Point Methodist after a long illness. Brad was born on February 15, 1955 in Peoria to Bert and Joyce (Sprague) Nordhielm. Among those surviving are his father of Washington; two brothers, Curt (Linda) Nordhielm of Boise, ID and David (Patty) Nordhielm of Washington; two sisters, Cindy (Randy) Brassfield of Lincoln and Pati (Brian) Heller of Washington and ten loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother. Brad had worked at Caterpillar in the IT department where he had received a patent for his work in computer programing. He also was a graduate of the Caterpillar machine repair program. For a period of time Brad also had worked for the Indiana Christian Children?s Home in Crawfordsville. He was a graduate of Indiana Technical Institute where he had earned a degree in robotics. In Brad?s spare time he enjoyed working with stained glass. Brad was a member of Richwoods Christian Church in Peoria where funeral services will be held at 7 p.m, Thursday, November 20, 2014 with his brother Curt Nordhielm officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 5 to 7 p.m. Graveside services will take place at 9:30 a.m., Friday at Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Mason-White Funeral Home is assisting the family in arrangements. In honor of Brad?s love for all children, the family requests memorials go to Samaritan?s Purse, Christmas Child Project.
