Blanche M. Parker, 89, of Washington, IL passed away at 7:49pm Friday, June 4, 2021 at her residence with her family by her side.
She was born on July 30, 1931 in Newton, IL the daughter of John and Mary Pulliam Jones. She married Robert M. Parker on June 2, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN. He passed away on February 5, 2015 in Mattoon, IL. One daughter Leona McKay and one step-son Paul Parker also preceded her in death.
Surviving are four sons Eric Parker of Washington, IL Chad Parker of Creve Coeur, IL; John Parker and Thomas Parker both of Dietrich, IL; Further surviving are one daughter, Mary Matthews of Greenbriar, AR; and one step-daughter Pam Turner of Salt Lake City, UT. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Blanche was a member of Sunnyland Christian Church. Raising her children, she became involved in Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and worked tirelessly as a seamstress.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment of her remains will be in Headyville Cemetery in rural Dieterich, IL.
