Beverly Greenhalgh

WASHINGTON... Beverly Greenhalgh, 75, of Washington, passed away at 1 am, Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Washington Christian Village. Bev was born on December 13, 1939 in Peoria to Earl and Iona Mae (White) Talkington. She was preceded by her husband, Charles Greenhalgh who died in January 1978. She also had been married to Alvin Smith and in later years maintained their friendship together. Among those surviving is her daughter, Vickie (Scott) Williams of Washington; three sisters, Jeana Steeg-Simmons, Marie Davis and Karen (Tom) Murley; one brother, Keith (Blanche) Talkington and especially her grandchildren, Andrew, Tyler and Courtney and great grandson, Gavin, all of whom loving referred to her as "Bee" and many nieces and nephews. Bev was also preceded in death by her step-father, who also helped raise her, Lamar Steeg. Bev had worked the sales counter for many years at Sieg Auto Parts in Peoria and later at AutoZone in Peoria and Washington. In recent years she loved to spend time with her family, and especially looked forward to the family trips to the beach. Funeral services for Bev will be on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10:30 at Mason-White Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Gorby officiating. Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
