Bertha May (Pisel) Netherton

Bertha “Bert", "Grace” Netherton (nee Pisel), 92, of Cincinnati, OH, formerly of Chillicothe, IL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2020 in Cincinnati, OH; surrounded by loved ones. She was born on May 31, 1927 in Roanoke, IL to the late John Pisel and the late Bertha Buck (Pisel). In 1949 she married Warren C. Netherton whom preceded her in death. They were married for 67 years.

Loving mother of Janet Netherton Kling (late Walter E. Kling, Jr.), the late Roger Dean Netherton, and Michael Warren Netherton (Laura); grandmother of Zachary Walter Kling, Sarah Elizabeth Netherton, Rebecca Anne (Jorden) Netherton-Steffler, Andrew Michael Netherton, Haley Kathryn Netherton, and Matthew Michael Netherton; great-grandmother of Clark and Gavin Steffler.

Bertha was a full time home maker and avid green-thumb. An advocate for children; she dedicated her life to her husband, her family, church activity, and volunteering.

Private family funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday March 25, 2020 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Pastor Lyall Sutton officiating. Burial will be in Roanoke City Cemetery, Roanoke, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Hospital. Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
