Alice Jean Alleman

SOUTH BEND–MISHAWAKA - Alice Jean Alleman, 92, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. Alice was born on January 8, 1926, the daughter of Edward J. and Elizabeth W. Hagan. She married Wilbur R. Alleman of Fayette, Ohio on September 18, 1948 at St. Patrick's Church in Peoria, IL. He passed away in 1999.

Surviving are her son James E. (Carolyn) Alleman of Ames, Iowa; daughter Anne M. (Donald) Densborn of Niles, Michigan; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister Shirley Frericks of Peoria. She was preceded in death by infant sister Frances E. Hagan and sister Mary J. Donnelly.

Alice was an executive secretary for 25 years with WNDU-TV at Notre Dame, Indiana, and was an avid volunteer throughout her life with scouting, parent-teacher service, hospice care in South Bend, hospice plus hospital support in Peoria, Illinois Prairie Library, Snyder Village, and St. Mary's Church in Metamora.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Metamora with Father Vien Van Do officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
