A. "Wayne" Rassi

A. “Wayne” Rassi, 88, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 2:48 pm on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at his residence.

He was born on February 17, 1934, in Fairbury, IL, to John G. and Ethel (Bratton) Rassi. He married JoAnn “Jodi” Johnson on October 4, 1953, in Jacksonville, Florida.

Surviving are his wife, Jodi of Metamora; son, Roger (Terri) Rassi of Peoria; daughter, Bobbi Jo (Rodney) Robison of East Peoria; daughter-in-law, Rosalie Rassi of Washington; four grandchildren, Jason (Liz) Rassi, Jessica (Jeff) Sinn, Randi Robison, and Levi Robison; three great-grandchildren; brother, John Rassi of Metamora; and sister, Ruth McHenry of Germantown Hills. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Allen Rassi, brothers, Roy Rassi, Ray Rassi, and Don Rassi; and brother-in-law, Bob McHenry.

Wayne was a U.S. Marine Veteran. He was a machinist for Metamora Woodworking for 42 years, retiring in July, 1994. Wayne enjoyed camping, bowling, scooters and motorcycles, playing guitar, and mowing grass at Oakwood Cemetery.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Pastor Danira Parra officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora.
