Wilson E. Seymour, 80, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 12:45 pm on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

He was born on February 12, 1944, in Jacksonville, IL, to Milford and Opal E. (Lovell) Seymour. He married Marge E. Zilm on May 10, 1964 in Lacon, IL. She passed away on June 20, 2005.

Surviving are his son, Jeffrey Seymour of Metamora; and two brothers, James Seymour of San Jose, CA and Jack Seymour of Chicago, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Marilyn Francis.

Wilson had worked as a computer programmer for Caterpillar Tractor Company until his retirement. He was a member of Christian Union Church in Metamora. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and riding his motorcycle.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Christian Union Church with Pastor Gary Salm officiating. No visitation will be held. Burial of Ashes will be held in Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Christian Union Church, 925 West Walnut Street, Metamora, IL 61548.
