Wilma M. Myers, 80, of Eureka, formerly of Secor, IL passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Heritage House Health Care, El Paso, IL. She was born on May 12, 1934 in Roanoke to Charles A. and Evelyn F. (Rush) Ales. She married Charley G. Myers on June 6, 1953 in Eureka. He died on August 31, 1996. Surviving are children Charles (Donna) Myers of Secor, Dennis (Darla) Myers of Lerna, IL and Jane (Joe Bates) Clark of Metamora; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother Robert Ales of Stevens Point, WI; and brother-in-law Paul Giordano of Pontiac. She was preceded in death by her parents, son David A. Myers, three sisters and one brother. She was a homemaker. She worked for 10 years as a cook for El Paso Health Care Center. She was a member of Secor United Methodist Church and was a Sunday School teacher and also involved with music and choir. She loved her church. She was an avid reader and walker, loved her flowers, enjoyed bird watching, active in scouting and also watching her grandkids. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 11:00 am at Secor United Methodist Church with Pastor Charlie Graul officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until service time at the church. Burial will be held in Secor Cemetery. A luncheon will follow after graveside services at the church.
