William D. Morrill, 77, of Washington, Illinois, passed away early morning Friday, May 15, 2026, after his battle with cancer.

Born on January 27, 1949, in New York, he was the cherished son of William and Francile Morrill. He found lifelong devotion and a passionate debate partner with their unconditional love when he married Kristine "Teena" McCarthy on September 1, 1984, in San Angelo, Texas. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife.

He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted daughter, Laura (Andy) Wiegand of Washington, Illinois; and his adored grandchildren; Shane Wiegand of Washington, Illinois, and Elizabeth Wiegand of Brooklyn, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Elloyd Glasheen.

At his specific request, there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memorial contribution in his name may do so to the Center for Prevention of Abuse.
