William Roger "Bill" Lidwell, 77, of Morton, formerly of Germantown Hills, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016 at Morton Villa Heath Care and Rehabilitation Center. Bill was born in St. David, IL on February 27, 1938 to William and Sybil Powell Lidwell. He married Mary (Marcia) O'Malley on January 31, 1960 in Lewistown. She survives and resides at Morton Villa. He is also survived by his two daughters Lisa (Tom) Batters of Germantown Hills, and Angi (Jim) Smith of Peoria, Arizona; brother Ed (Cathy) Lidwell of Farmer City; brother-in-law Dick Ellsworth of Macomb; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. His parents and one sister, Judy Ellsworth of Macomb, preceded him in death. Bill sold and serviced heating and air conditioning equipment for Ruyle Refrigeration, Standard Sheet Metal, AAA Northgate and J.A. Fritch and Sons for many years before moving to Madeira Beach, Florida in 1986 to manage Collwood Condominiums with his wife. They retired and moved back to Illinois in 1998. Visitation will be Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Mason Funeral Home in Germantown Hills. Cremation will be accorded following his visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials in his name may be given to the Central Illinois Parkinson's Support Group, 5114 North Glen Park Place, Peoria, IL 61614.
