William G. Blake

William G. "Bill" Blake age 59 of Germantown Hills, Illinois passed away at 2:50pm Tuesday Jan. 15, 2013 at his residence. He was born Nov. 15, 1953 in Omaha, Nebraska to Gilbert C. and Betty J. (Robinson) Blake. He married Cindy L. Garber on April 7, 2000 in Peoria, IL., and she survives. Surviving are his children, Kara (Bryan) Sylvester of Mapleton, IL., Bryce (Sara) Garber of Denver, CO., Brittany Garber of Chicago, and Keith Blake of Peoria. Grandchildren, Tessa, Nadia, Maguire Jo, and Ryker. Also surviving is one sister Kathy (Alan) Shamrock of Allen TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Barbara Blake. Bill was a Electrician last working for Illinois Central College and was a member of IBEW Local #34 and First Baptist Church of Peoria. Bill enjoyed golfing, cooking, traveling, and was a Chicago Cubs Fan. He loved taking care of his yard and watching classic movies. He loved his family and friends and his Hospice girls. A Memorial service will be at 6:00pm Friday Jan. 18, 2013 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with Rev. Curt Rowden officiaiting. Visitation will be from 4pm until service time at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to Harbor Lights Hospice 3000 N. Main E.
