William "Bill" Thomas Beadles, 86, of Taylors, South Carolina, formerly of Pekin, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was born on May 2, 1940, in Plymouth, Illinois, the son of M. Wayne Beadles and Goldie Mae Hagan Beadles, and brother to H. Alicia Beadles Wilson (Gordon), Herbert D. Beadles (Anita), Leslie E. Beadles (Sharon), and Lowell C. Beadles (Thena).

Bill was a 1958 graduate of Northwestern High School in Blandinsville, Illinois. He retired after 35 years as a railroad dispatcher, but Bill was never one to sit still for long. For 26 years, he faithfully worked two jobs, balancing his career on the railroad with farming. Even after retirement, Bill kept busy, working first at a Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin and later at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. He also volunteered his time at Pekin Hospital and Wildlife Prairie Park. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed antique tractor shows, tractor pulls, and taking long drives on his own tractor.

Bill is lovingly survived by his wife of 65 years, Sandra M. Burford Beadles, and their 4 children: Jill Beadles Baker (Steve), Janna M. Beadles Rampey (Bruce), W. Andrew Beadles (Barbie), and Daniel R. Beadles (Beverly).

Bill is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Nicole Gochenour (Jason), Bradley Beadles, Steven Baker (Courtney), Ryan Beadles (Angela), Brent Beadles (Helen), Caroline Beadles, and Bryson Beadles. In addition, Bill leaves behind 6 great-grandchildren: Jacob, Noah, Jenelle, Holden, Calum, Poppy, and another expected in February. Bill is also survived by several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his brother Leslie Beadles, brother-in-law Gordon Wilson, sister-in-law Thena, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law.

A graveside service will be held at Glade City Cemetery in Blandinsville, Illinois on September 28th at 1:00 PM. A memorial service will be held in Taylors, SC at Bethel Calvary Baptist Church on October 10th at 2:00 PM.
