Wiliam E. "Bill" Wease

William E. "Bill" Wease, 85, of rural East Peoria, IL passed away at 5:45 pm on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Toulon Health Care Center in Toulon, IL. He was born on February 16, 1931 in Pearl, IL to Willis and Sylvia (Vetter) Wease. He married M. Suzanne Baxendale on May 3, 1975 in Peoria, IL. She survives. Also surviving are his two sisters Ada Foreman of Peoria, IL and Dottie (Eric) Dyne of Visalia, CA; many nieces and nephews; and his Boston Terrier dog, Irving. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Dolores Craig. Bill was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and served during the Korean War from 1950 until 1954. He studied watch making at Bradley University where he earned a degree in Horology. He was the owner/operator of Wease Jewelers in Peoria from 1965 until 1980. He was a member of the Central Illinois Watch Makers Club and the Sertoma Club in Peoria. He was an avid gardener. He loved fishing and going to Branson and Table Rock. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with Reverend Gary Salm officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until service time at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded after the service.
