Wilbert "Boobie" H. Marchand, Jr.

Wilbert H. "Boobie" Marchand, Jr., 80, passed away at 4:18 am on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at his residence.

He was born on April 16, 1944, in Metamora, IL, to Wilbert J. and Viola J. (Fredrichs) Marchand. He married Rosalee Potter on October 17, 1964, in Eureka, IL.

Surviving are his wife, Rosalee of Metamora; three sons, Rodney (Lisa) Marchand of Corning, AR, Bryan (Deana) Marchand of Washington, IL, and Patrick (Holly) Marchand of Metamora; five grandchildren, Autumn Marchand, Emily (Terry) Marchand, Brant (Kylie) Marchand, Anna Marchand, and Ryan Marchand; five great-grandchildren, Jasper, Dominic, Aubree, Walker, and Indiana; and two sisters, Sharon (Don) Garber of Lowpoint, IL and Cinda (Gene) Wegner of Peoria, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Annette Livingston, niece Angie Livingston, and brother-in-law Bill Shelton.

Boobie was self-employed and the owner of Marchand's Janitorial Service and Marchand's Family Restaurant. He loved his family very much! He spent the last sixty years with the love of his life! He loved to play his fiddle and was a part of several bands throughout the years. He also loved hunting and working on old cars. He did not know a stranger and would spend time chatting with his friends for hours. He was always there to help others in their time of need. His sense of humor and quick wit will be remembered by all who knew him.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel.
