Wayne Osborn

Wayne Lavern Osborn, 94, of Washington, IL passed away peacefully at home on December 20, 2021.

He was born September 19, 1927, in Duncan, OK, Son of Edith Morgan.  He was raised by his Grandparents, Lee and Effie Morgan.   He moved to Illinois in 1941 and married Donna R. Wissel in Roanoke, IL on July 1, 1949.   She preceded him in death on April 8, 2020.  One infant son Michael Wayne, and one brother Don also preceded him in death.

Surviving are his two daughters, Lori (Jeff) Hausen of Schaumburg, IL and Kimberly Kingsland of Washington, IL.  Also surviving are five grandchildren, Dustin Bisio (Lori) of St. Augustine, FL; Ryan Spinelli of Washington, IL; Tyler Fuchs (Caitlin) of Schaumburg, IL; Jacob Kingsland, and Allyna Kingsland of Washington, IL.

Wayne was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran, serving 3-1/2 years aboard USS Vulcan, AR-5 of the Atlantic Fleet. He was employed by WABCO (Westinghouse Air Brake Company) for 32 years, retiring in 1982 as a Service Engineering Manager.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A time to celebrate his life will be scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
